Opportunities & Events

We don't run every program for women and girls in STEM — but we're keeping track of the ones worth knowing about. Here's what's currently open or running.

• Elevate: Boosting Diversity in STEM — university scholarships and mentoring for women and non-binary STEM students, delivered by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.

• Girls' Programming Network (GPN) — free, beginner-friendly coding workshops for girls in upper primary through high school, run each school term across most states.

• Girl Geek Academy — free workshops, online forums and scholarships for girls and women of all ages, no experience required.

• University scholarships — USyd, UNSW and UTS all run scholarships specifically for women in engineering, science and IT. Check each university's current offerings for open rounds.
